I think you make a good point and the guys at NatWest and TSYS (the provider) would be working overtime to get the O2 proposition right. Personally, I think the fact that O2 have an open forum where these issues can be discussed and perhaps resolved is great as compared to some programmes which do not have a public forum and these issues are swept under the carpet.

That said - a less then perfect service is not acceptable and I am sure they realise at O2, NatWest and TSYS - that there is a lot of work to do.

Hi Rachel,
Free ATM is not meant to be a criticism of Caxton and you make a fair comment.

The article is simply meant to illustrate that the spending habits of travellers should determine the card that works best for them.

As an example, if I was taking a long trip to the Far East, I would probably get a Caxton Card as the free ATM withdrawals would work out better for me but if I was taking a short shopping trip to Milan, I would much rather get a card which gives me more spend money - so the best exchange rate would win that contest.

To reiterate, the article is not meant to be criticism of what is an excellent consumer initiative (and a five star rated product - http://www.prepaid365.com/caxtonfx-prepaid-card.html ) but rather a footnote to consumers to evaluate their options before they take the plunge!

Cheers

Hi Amit - we at Caxton FX would like to comment that the point of having no overseas ATM fees is so you don't have to carry a lot of cash with you when you're on holiday. We think being able to go to a cash point twice a day is indeed a great feature!

thanks

I have been tasked with finding a sample website strategy specific to prepaid debit/credit. A function of the website will be social media networks. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great.

Well, you wouldn't go wrong with the top 3 cards listed on http://www.prepaid365.com/compare-travel-prepaid-cards.html. Also, bear in mind that this isn't criticism of Free ATM Withdrawals per se because they are great but a note to advise that you may actually have more spend money at hand with a card that has an excellent exchange rate as opposed to a card that is free. Cheers

So are you looking for a report on the UK youth market?

I know a few researchers and can certainly find out if they have any specific reports out.

I completely agree with you that if o2 cannot open the market up, few others will.

I have got my cards which is great and am hoping to use them soon. Look forward to the o2 prepaid card reviews in due course.

Ciao!

Hi Amit,
Nice site and good articles. I will definitely be subscribing to your feed.

The one other thing I would add is that it is important to get some nice offers and competitions in during christmas as well.

cheers
